Rice Pudding is a kind of sweets made up of rice, sugar, and cheese. It is not light, but delicious.
Total cooking time: 30 min.
Preparation time: 20 min.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup rice
- 200 grs Czech Akkaoui cheese
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 Tbsp rose water
- 1 tsp Meskeh
- 1/4 cup ground pistachio
Recipe:
- Day earlier before preparing this plate, you have to sweeten the cheese, by placing it in water for 10 hours, and changing the water every couple of hours.
- Boil the rice until well done.
- Prepare a dry presenting dish to pour the recipe in when finished.
- Drain the cheese using a colander.
- Put the rice in the blender and grind them until they look like cream.
- Return the rice to the oven on low temperature, then place the sugar on them and keep stirring for 10 min.
- Add the cheese and continue stirring but quickly this time.
- Add the rose water, and the Meskeh, stir for 1 more minute then turn off oven, then pour your pudding in the presenting dish.
- Sprinkle some pistachio on it as a decoration, and it will give a nice flavor as well.
Notes:
It is preferred to use a non-stick cookware when preparing this dessert.
